Course contents : The course approaches the qualitative methodology as a global step - inserted into a research process - and as a set of particular techniques.


It consists in two main parts: one theoretical and one practical. Initially, a panorama of the currents and the research methods in social sciences will be drawn up and some particular techniques will be presented.


Secondly, the practical works aim to allow the students to test their knowledge by the realization of an interview.
Course objective : Replace the qualitative methods in the evolution of the social sciences.

Supply a panorama of methods of qualitative researches.

Allow an empirical deepening of a particular method.
Prerequisites : None
Workshops : 30 hours of practical works (interview).
Organization : First semester: theoretical lessons.


Second semester : practical works.
Written notes : No syllabus.

Notebook of additional readings.
Assessment : Written exams
