Sociology of organized action

Course contents : 1. Analysis of the key-concepts (strategy, rules, regulation.) in sociology of organisations and in organised action.
2. Analysis of the hospital' field (strategy of the professionals and the patients).
3. Analysis of the professions.
4. Seminar on sociological news (with external lecturers)
Course objective : Understanding the strategic analysis of Michel CROZIER and Erhard FRIEDBERG, the identical analysis of Renaud SAINSAULIEU and Claude DUBAR as well as Jean-Daniel REYNAUD's crossed regulation.
Fields of application: the administration (CROZIER and THOENIG) and the hospital ( KUTY).

This course introduces the students to the method of oranisational analysis. This method is one of the most important experiences of the sociology of these last 50 years: all the fields of analysis, political, economic, cultural or social, may recover from this type of analysis. And more particularly, it is the foundation of new paradigms of public policies, the organized action and the public action.
Prerequisites : Introduction to general sociology
Workshops : Organizational diagnosis with F.Schoenaers (former researcher Ulg, lecturer in Lille)
Organization : 1. Ex-cathedra lectures.
2. Seminar on sociological works based on preliminary readings of articles, introduced by the students
3. A collective work will also be required during this course, related to the seminar on sociological news. This year, the seminar focuses on the Marshall plan. This collective work can be integrated within the 1st licence paper.

Link with other courses:
Presentation of the theses of the contemporary sociology in continuation of those of the classic sociology seen during "Evolution of the sociological thought".
