| Course contents :
| There are two parts :
1) Linear algebra : algebra for vectors and matrices ; linear systems ; characteristic values and vectors ; diagonalisation ; quadratic forms (without and with constraints) ; markov's chains ; generalized inverse.
2) Calculus : real and hyperreal numerical lines; continuity, derivability, differentiation, primitivation and integration for functions of one real variable (with a non-standard approach).
| | | |
| Course objective :
| To learn to be rigorous, to use mathematics in management, to solve concrete problems, to introduce to mathematical models. | |
| | | |
| Prerequisites :
| Principles of mathematical reasonings ; elementary algebra, ; basic trigonometry and geometry ; theory of real numbers. | |
| | | |
| Workshops :
| Exercises in several groups. | |
| | | |
| Organization :
| Semester 1 : linear algebra.
Semester 2 : calculus. | |

Analyse infinitésimale, par J. Bair et V. Henry ; éditions de l'Université de Liège.
| | | |
| Assessment :
| The final examination includes 3 equal parts :
a) exercises and problems about linear algebra (written exam in january and june for the first session, in august/september for the second session);
b) exercises and problems about mathematical analysis (written exam in june for the first session, in august/september for the second session);
