Course contents : Part II (Probability theory):

- Random events and probability

- Probability calculus (conditional probability, dependance and independence,..)

- Random variables

- Vectors of random variables

- Discrete probability distributions

- Continuous probability distriobutions.
Course objective : Get familiar with the concepts and methods of probability theory.
Prerequisites : Basic concepts of descriptive statistics.
Organization : Theory lectures (3h/week) and tutorials (1h30/week) over the first semester.
Written notes : The notes (Lejeune B. (2001), Probabilités et inférence statistique) are distributed via the students associations.
Assessment : Written exam in January
