Course contents : Introduction and historical sketch.
Prelinguistic and phonological development.
Lexical development.
Morphosyntactic development.
Pragmatic and discursive development.
Acquisition of written language.
The explanation of language development I.: genes, brain, cognitive basis.
The explanation of language development II. : interpersonal relationships.
Course objective : Give students the basic descriptive and explanatroy konwledges about the different aspects of the language ontogenesis.
Prerequisites : PSYC0016: Language psychology
Organization : Seminar work
Written notes : The list of books and articles is available from the department secretary.
Assessment : Based on : participation in the seminar and topic presentation; a written paper submitted at the end of the course on a selected topic relevant to the course; written exam in session(s)
