Educational Technologies in school contexts

Course contents : This courses includes the following topics:

1. Information and Communication Technology for Education in schools contexts (ICTE).
2. Assessment of multimedia products and Websites.
3. Analysis of Information and Communication Technology environments.
4. ICT tools in assessment.
5. Systemic approach in teachers' training.
Course objective : Student

  • will have an overview of different teaching ICTE uses at school.
  • will use models to analyse teaching product and environments.
  • will use different computerized tools related to the course (Internet, CD-ROM, email, assessment software, electronic theatre, "boîtiers de votes", e-learning platform...).
  • will realize personal work.
  • will be able to create presetations on electronic medium (PowerPoint).
  • will communicate with the professor by email for the management of personal work.
  • will bring information ("News") related to the course.
  • will participate to an experience of distance collaborative learning.
Prerequisites :
  • PEDA0518-1 Introduction to the sciences of education and training, partim I.
  • PEDA0025-1 Educational Method and Theories of Teaching.
  • PEDA1143-2 Education and Training Technology.
The main prerequisites are presented during the first sessions of the course.
Workshops : Workshops deal with particpation to an experience of collaborative distance learning (Learn-Nett project).
Organization : Theoric part takes place the 1st term (10 sessions of 3 hours) in CAFEIM.

Workshops begin at the 2nd term. They happen at a distance. A local animator is availabe to introduce them to Learn-Nett. A tutor follows each group in the realisation of everyone's project.
Written notes : Course notes are available at the secretary's office.
Assessment : Assessment deals with:

1. Participation in the course.
2. Worshop presentation.
3. Oral exam.
