MATH0236-1

Introduction to the theory of D-modules

Duration :30h Th, 10h Pr
Credits/ECTS :
1st "licence" in mathematical sciences6,5
Holder(s) :Jean‑Pierre Schneiders
Course contents : This course is mainly for DEA students. One presents first the basic results of the theory of modules over the sheaf of linear differential operators with holomorphic coefficients and one shows how it is related to the study of system of partial differential equations in the complex domain. One next shows how to apply the results of the course on homological algebra and sheaf theory to obtain local and global informations on the solutions of systems of these kind.
Course objective : To allow to understand recent works on algebraic analysis and to begin a research work in this field.
Prerequisites : Good knowledge of homological algebra, sheaf theory and complex analysis.
Organization : To be fixed with the students.
Written notes : Reference texts are pointed out at the beginning of the course.
Assessment : To be fixed with the students.
