Course contents : During 2005-2006, the course will be attended by students of third and fourth year

Brief table of contents:
- Definition and general propreties of ditributions
- Composition of distributions
- Tempered distributions
- Partial differential equations (elementary solutions, Sobolev spaces ...)
Course objective : The course will mainly consist in a presentation of the general theory of distributions (and applications to pde).
Prerequisites : Basic theory in analysis.
Workshops : Exercices are very important. Many of them will be presented and active participation of students is required.
Organization : The schedule will be available in September 2005.
Written notes : Notes specifically prepared for this course are available at the beginning of the academic year. Many classical references are also quoted and advised.
Assessment : Theory and exercices will compose the exams (oral and written).
