- Study of the main chapters of Dutch grammar
- Study of the vocabulary & exploitation of the contents of texts; lexical and grammatical exercises; speaking and writing exercises

| Course objective :

- This course develops basic language skills, especially the mastery of oral and written Dutch from both the passive and active points of view.
- At the end of the year, students should have reached a good mastery of everyday Dutch. They should be able to understand and present an authentic newspaper article.

| Prerequisites :
|
- A basic knowledge of the oral and written language is recommended.
- From a grammatical point of view, this course starts from the very beginning.
- As far as the vocabulary is concerned, the knowledge of the 2000 most frequent words is recommended.
- Remediation lessons are organized for beginners.

| Organization :
|
- 2 hours a week during the first term
1 hour a week and one hour of exercises each week during the second term
- A course for beginners or for students who did not have many Dutch lessons during their secondary school is organized during the whole year (two hours a week).
