Course contents :
  • Introduction to business, social, political & financial vocabulary; explanation & discussion of recent multimedia files on socio-economic, financial, (inter)cultural or political topics.
  • Listening comprehension exercises.
  • Debates on current topics.
Course objective :
  • Mastery of everyday language & further development of the business language in situations requiring oral communication (listening comprehension; speaking) & written communication (reading comprehension, writing documents).
Prerequisites :
  • Mastery of everyday Dutch (everyday vocabulary, basic structures).
Organization :
  • The course is mainly organized as a seminar implying the active participation of students.
