Course contents : "Español de los negocios 2: Comercio y práctica de los negocios" Study of business terminology and language. 15 units including national trade and distribution, commercial papers, Sales agreements, transport agreements, external trade and custom duties, Medium of exchange, Banking, Companies, company management, Marketing and advertisement, Accountancy, stock exchange, insurances. - Exploitation through discussions, role playing, simulations etc. Use of genuine documents, newspaper articles, video and audio recordings. Occasional reminders of grammar points. - Business correspondence, motivation letters, CVs.
Course objective : Develop the students' skills at using business Spanish

Develop the students' skills at communicate both in writing and orally. Perfect their ability to understand and speak Spanish.
Prerequisites : LANG 283 Spanish
Organization : Intensive use of multimedia learning tools in LEM
Intensive use of distance learning tools ( developped in HEC)
Listening comprehension (video and audio sequences).
Reading comprehension: business papers.
Speaking: discussion of texts read or of recordings, debates, role playing, case studies, simulations, lecturesconferences, etc.
Writing: reports, syntheses of texts or debates, essays.

Self-learning possibilities:
Books, papers, recordings and CF-ROMs on loan from the library.
-Conversation clubs - organised on request.
Written notes : (available at Centrale des cours)
Assessment : 1st session :

- Oral exam: business Spanish and conversation on a general topic
- Written exam: business letter including grammatical problems and business terminology.
- Continuous evaluation
- The DELE (Diploma de Español Lengua Extranjera) and the Certificado Superior de Español de los Negocios, from the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Madrid (COCIM) are taken into account.

2nd session :
- (Written exam only for those who did not take the first exam)
- Oral exam: business Spanish and conversation on a general topic
