| Course contents :
| Oral and written activities based on texts and articles dealing with psychology. Students will be required to participate actively in the course, which implies that they must have read the texts before coming to class. | |

| Course objective :
| Consolidation and extension of the four language skills, namely reading, listening, speaking and writing.
One of the purposes of the course is to improve students' ability to cope with English texts (understanding, summarizing, reacting to the content).
Another purpose is to allow students to express themselves in English on various topics related to psychology through discussions based on the various texts of the syllabus. | |

| Prerequisites :
| Good basic knowledge of English.
Thorough knowledge of the vocabulary and linguistic principles seen in the first year course. | |

| Organization :
| Weekly 2-hour class in a rather small group.
Thorough preparation of the texts is required so as to enable students to progress regularly. | |

| Assessment :
| A non compulsory written examination will be held in the course of the January exam session.
The exam will be based on all the texts seen in class.
Moreover, students will be required to hand in a number of written works as well as to perform a number of oral tasks in class whose evaluation will be included in the final mark accounting for 20% of it. | |
