Course contents : The company : its functions - its structure
The production model
The product and the roduct processes : the purchases, the planning , the computer-assisted production management.
Investments: Definition, Establishment, Profitability.
Introduction to World class manufacturing - Just in Time, Total Quality - Logistics : material management, maintenance, transport, distribution, quality management
Course objective : To show the role of production in the industry, weigh up its evolution from Taylorism to the « Just in Time » concept, define major options & give the first fundamental decision methods.
Introduction to other logistics problems.
Prerequisites : MQG 703 Mathématics
Basic knowledge in Statistics
