Course contents : This course has two main objectives: from the one hand to give students the basis of an entrepreneurial approach and from the other hand to explain them the factors which explain the better performance of winning companies in order to develop their aptitudes to work out winning strategies in a perspective of launching a new business. The course therefore presents the basis of new companies' creation and the competing implications of launching companies in an environment where internationalisation is the rule rather than the exception. The other topics are: the difference between idea and opportunity, general aspects of strategy, creation of an economic value, costs dynamic, strategic dynamics of the markets and of the competition, analysis, strategic choice and competing analysis of industry. During this course, students will have the opportunity to put into practice their analytical and synthetic competences. Some lessons appeal to case studies requiring the active participation of students. These will also have to develop a group project, so as to gain experience in investigation techniques, in order to find, develop and assess a business idea.
Course objective : Provide the students with a strategy comprehension and make them sensitive to the process of strategic thinking in an entrepreneurial perspective.
