Course contents : The course is taught in French.
1. General introduction (major notions, historical approach)
2. Economic growth
3. Employment
4. Price stability
5. Budget policy
6. Monetary policy
Course objective : Introduction to and analysis of the major objectives and instruments of current economic policy.
Prerequisites : A general course in political economy.
Organization : Lectures by Prof. Quaden. Students are invited to actively participate.
No workshops.
Written notes : Documents such as reports by international economic bodies and the National Bank of Belgium as well as articles by Prof. Quaden, will be handed out in class.
Assessment : Written examination.
