Course contents : Practical analysis of intellectual property issues (patents, supplementary protection certificates for medicinal products, trademarks) and competition law aspects affecting medicinal products, as well as questions relating to free movement of goods. These issues will be dealt with on the basis of a case study. Legal questions relating to parallel imports of medicinal products, research exemption and Bolar and marketing authorization for generic medicinal products, biotechnological inventions, regulatory data protection, etc. will be discussed during the seminar.
Organization : The students will have to prepare the course in advance (reading of selected legal texts and case law) and active participation of the students is highly encouraged.

Assessment : Written exam or paper, at the choice of the student.
