Course contents : The course presents the molecular aspects of the following areas: digestive physiology, metabolism, blood, extracellular matrix under normal and pathological conditions.
Course objective : Present the following areas: molecular mechanisms of the digestive system, blood metabolism (breathing, hemostasis), water and pH regulation, composition of the extracellular matrix.
General physiopathological aspects are used as illustration for each chapter.
Prerequisites : General biochemistry and physiology.
Workshops : These are repetitions for the topics covered during the lectures.
Organization : The course is spread over 2 years (S4 and S5) to provide the normal and pathological physiological aspects in a single series of lectures.
The S4 course covers the items specified above..
It is an ex-cathedra lecture with course supports.
Written notes : Course notes and slides (on CD-ROM).
Assessment : Oral exam.
