| Aperçu général : | partim: « Contemporary American Poetry and Politics » The aim of this course is to provide students with a critical introduction to the major movements and trends in contemporary American poetry. The works and authors covered in class will be examined in the context of American cultural and political history. Themes to be discussed include technology, the avant-garde, subjectivity, feminism, multiculturalism, the counterculture, consumerism, radical politics and postmodern culture. | |||||
