Course contents : Modelling and control of linear feedback control systems. Open-loop and closed-loop concepts. Advantages and limitations of feedback. Analysis of simple control design problems. Root locus method. Bode and Nyquist diagrams; PID /Lead/lag control; Senstitivity functions. Analysis and synthesis of state-space models. Controllability and
observability. Separation principle.

Two labs + matlab homeworks.
Course objective : The objective of the course is to understand the basic analysis and synthesis tools of feedback control systems.
Prerequisites : SYST002 or equivalent linear systems course.
Workshops : 1/3 classroom exercices, 1/3 matlab homeworks, 1/3 labs.
Organization : second semester.

Assessment : 30% for laboratory project;
