| Course contents : | The Whitney jets on a closed subset F of a euclidean space are the indexed families of the restrictions to F of the derivatives of the infinitely continuously differentiable functions on the euclidean space. Theit set E(F) may be endowed with a Fréchet space structure. These Whitney jets will be characterized. The problem of their extension by analytic or holomorphic functions will be treated by means of functional analysis methods. The realization of this programme requires the study of the nuclear Fréchet spaces, having the (Omega) or the (DN) property, ... and on the splitting theorem. Different spaces of analytic or holomorphic functions will be studied. | |||||
