1.Principles of copyright law (subject matter, conditions, ownership, rights, duration, etc.)
2.Computer programs (protection by copyright, patents and protection of topographies)
3.Databases and multimedia
4.Internet and intellectual property (trademark issues, liability, including for hyperlinking, protection of technical measures)
Course objective : The objective of the course is to present the principles and main issues of copyright under European and Belgian law. The course is focused on the legal issues triggered by the new information technologies, in particular software, databases, Internet.
Organization : Lectures (based on readings, including of case law) and Tutorials
