At the end of the course the student has the required knowledge on:
- Ecosystem functioning
- The diversity of ecosystems and the organization of the biosphere
- The evolution of agriculture since the beginning of the Green Revolution
- The evolution of the agricultural model towards agro-ecology
- The services provided by ecosystems
The student is able to critically analyze the relationship between the well-being of human populations, agriculture and the environment
