Learning unit contents

180-hour internship in a non-profit institution/organization/company involved in digital media education, with a national and/or international dimension.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Through this internship, the student will gain experience in a professional environment that will allow him or her to use the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of multilingual communication and media education.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

  • A good knowledge of the institutional framework of media education, theories and  methods used in this field is required (knowledge and skills associated with block 1 teaching units)
  • It is also necessary to have a good knowledge of the host institution and sufficient language skills to work within it.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Participation in the activities of an institution active in the field of digital media education.

During the internship, students will demonstrate their skills by producing personal productions. They must also write an internship report, with a copy of these productions appended. This report should demonstrate the student's ability to reflect on his or her internship experience (see internship regulations on eCampus).

Writing of an internship report (with portfolio of productions in appendices). The final grade is awarded on the basis of this report and the internship supervisor's assessment.
