Monitoring of organ dysfunctions and technique of organ support
Admission criteria to the ICU. Warning systems and severity scores
Nosocomial infections and iatrogenic events associated with intensive care. Methods to prevent them
Long-term outcome and assessment after an ICU stay
Ethical dilemnas raised by the patients admitted to the ICU

To know the role of intensive care within the patient's course 
To be able to identify patients requiring admission to the ICU
To be able to detect the complications induced by intensive care
To know the main ethical dilemnas raised by intensive care
