Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Co and pre-requisites are detailed in the general Master Medical formation (global course program).
The content of the courses of anatomy, histology and gynaecological physiology delivered during the 3 first years of medical school are considered as mastered and are necessary for the good comprehension of the course.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

In the field of teaching, integration of information technics and communication has become mandatory. It allows a great diversity of teaching practices and of increasing quality of your learning skills.
In order to implement these technics into the course of gynaecology, an online platform (eCampus) is now devoted to your acquisition and testing of your knowledge. It supplements the course delivered in the amphitheatre and those 2 approaches are not separable.

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

Face-to-face + online approach (eCampus).

Recommended or required readings

Commented powerpoints on eCampus.

Any session :

- In-person

written exam ( multiple-choice questionnaire, open-ended questions )

- Remote

written exam

- If evaluation in "hybrid"

preferred in-person

Additional information:

An auto-evaluation taking place prior to the start of the course and devided in 3 parts (Histology Pr P Quatresooz, Physiology Pr M Nisolle, Anatomy Pr P Bonnet) is accessible. Its content is necessary for the good comprehension of the course in Master 2. A PDF reference document is at your disposal and has been established in cooperation with the professors in each of 3 disciplines. This auto-evaluation is not mandatory but is warmly recommended. Its content will not be reviewed during the face-to-face course.

Work placement(s)

See MSTG1002-1.
We have concentrated on 5 theoretical modules allowing an integration of the knowledge and of the theory that have been delivered during the face-to-face course. Regarding the clinical stages as such, 2 half-days of supervised outpatient clinic will be accessible to you with a primary objective to get exposed to the main gynaecological symptoms and develop capacities to explore them efficiently.

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course

Auto-evaluations only make sense if they are realised individually.

Online notes
PDF of each course can be found on eCampus.
