Learning unit contents

The course delves into the historical landscape of northern Gaul, spanning from the end of the Iron Age to the conclusion of Antiquity. It offers invaluable insights into comprehending the Roman occupation of our regions. Chronologically, the course covers a range of pivotal topics: from the initial conquest and subsequent territorial defense and organization, to exploring the urban phenomenon and communication networks, and delving into the intriguing realms of gods, the afterlife, and rural activities.

An exceptional aspect of this course is its final session, which takes place at the esteemed Curtius Museum. This unique setting allows students to interact with tangible historical evidence, providing a hands-on learning experience and deeper understanding of the material documentation
