Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

The teaching deals with the ergonomics of information and communication technologies and their adaptation to the uses and expectations of users. Based on different approaches to the acceptance of technologies (social and operational acceptance, user experience, etc.), the course deals with interface evaluation methods, data collection methods (interview and observation techniques) and data analysis, as well as the methods for presenting the results of the analyses.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The students will be able to implement a method for collecting data on the evaluation of Human-Technological Interactions, analyse the data collected and present the results.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Basic knowledge of ergonomics and work analysis

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Seminar involving the active participation of students (attendance/involvement is compulsory). Teaching will alternate between thematic presentations and the realisation of a practical case study (development of a data collection method; data collection; data analysis in group work; presentation of the case study).

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

Depending on the health measures (at the start of the 2020-2021 academic year), the arrangements for organising face-to-face or distance learning will be specified in due course.
In the event of distance learning, courses will be provided synchronously.

Recommended or required readings

Reference documents will be made available during the sessions.

The evaluation will be based on the completion of the case study (group work): evaluation of the oral presentation of the results of the case study and participation in the group work (continuous evaluation).
In case of non-participation in one of the course days, there is a work to be done. In the event of non-participation in several days or in the oral presentation at the end of the seminar, a failing grade will be awarded to the student concerned.
If non-participation is planned in advance, the student must inform the teacher before the course.
