The intended learning objectives (ILOs) for this course are:
* Master the aims and principles of sustainable banking
* Understand the key environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues
* Master the key sustainable banking products and strategies
* Identify the impact on business and financial strategy

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

By attending this course, the students will acquire the following skills and competencies:
* A deeper understanding of the concept of sustainable banking and insurance
* Increase their knowledge of the latest products & services of sustainable banking.
* Enhance their ability to make financial decisions with the Environmental, Social
and Governance (ESG) concept
* Be better placed to engage with their community and organization

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

This course will use various learning techniques to ensure maximum understanding and
retention of the information presented.

The training course will follow a participative workshop format, including discussion on pre-readings, analysis of study cases, a short team assignment and the intervention of guest speakers. It will be focused on developing practical skills that students can apply in real-life business situations on return to their organization, or while willing to orientate their career in the field of sustainable banking.

The course will be given in English.

This course will follow a hydrid format with 4 sessions on site on Saturday and 6 sessions online on Tuesday evening.

Additional information:

The evaluation will be done on the basis of the following grid:
? Team assignment report: 30% of final grade (Deadline Tue May 26th 2023)
? Individual grading on team presentation and working session: 5% of final grade
? Individual grading on final evaluation exam: 65% of final grade

Selected assignment to teams of 2-3 students (target 2 to 3 teams) on the analysis,
description, critic and presentation of 4 large EU banks' sustainability strategy.
Assignment output will take the form of a short report (max 10 pages) and a short set of
slides supporting team presentation. Specific questions will need to be covered and
answered.
