Learning unit contents
Description of the teaching unit:
This teaching unit aims to prepare the student to design a digital media literacy activity.
Table of contents:
- Introduction
- Part 1: Designing an activity in digital media education: methodological elements. Selection, evaluation and adaptation of available resources. Assessment methods.
- Part 2: Workshop to design a digital media literacy activity for a teenage audience on a specific topic. Follow-up sessions.
- Part 3: Animation of the activity, reflective exercise
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this unit, the student will be able to design a digital media education activity adapted to a teenage audience and to take a reflective look at its implementation.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Pre-requisites: Block 1 courses.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Oral lectures with student note-taking; discussion of readings (see reading portfolio); workshop and individual follow-up sessions, experience working with a teenage audience.
