Learning unit contents

Application of chemical engineering concepts to wastewater treatment processes and to sludge management
 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand wasterwater treatment and sludge management processes and to assess the associated issues.

He/she will be able to propose solutions on the basis of his/her knowledge in chemical engineering.

This course contributes to the learning outcomes I.1, I.2, II.1, II.2, III.1, IV.1, IV.4, V.1, VI.1, VII.1, VII.2 of the MSc in chemical and material science engineering.

Exam in January.

Retake in September, the project grade will be kept.

The final grade results from a weighted average between the written exam and the project grade.

Students who do not attend the site visits with no valid reason, will not be allowed to present  the written exam.
