Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents

1. The techniques of analysis of the transport systems of persons and goods
2. The development of an integrated project related to transport and mobility
3. The study of some particular facets of such an integrated project
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course deals essentially with the planning of the mobility at the scale of a local authority (financial and socio economic aspects).
The students will learn to use easily some techniques:
- First of all the techniques of analysis of an existing situation and the establishment of a diagnosis: supply analysis, demand analysis, the study of the interrelations between transport, mobility, space and environment.
- On base of objectives defined by the decision-maker, possible development scenarios will then be elaborated and the corresponding data will be planned according to a chosen prevision term. Presentation of the necessary tools and techniques to manage this step of the project.
- Comparative techniques of quantitative and qualitative evaluation, are then specified to allow a choice balanced on base of the aforesaid objectives. Presentation of operational decision-making tools.
- Finally the management techniques of the road networks and the traffic flows, specifically in urban areas, will be analyzed.
All these techniques are implemented in the integrated exercise which can be coupled with a public realm development project.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Elementary scientific notions: statistics, calculation
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The theoretical course is completed by an exercise involving transverse skills in urban and mobility planning, public realm refurbishment and environmental design
The exercise is organized by groups of 3 up to 5 students presenting complementary skills (depending on the background of the inscribed students).
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Face-to-face course
