The unit tackles the principles of quantitative genetics and their application to genetic improvement schemes in aquaculture.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
at the end of the course, the student is able to:
- describe the principles of quantitative genetics and their application to genetic improvement
- discuss the main practical modalities of genetic improvement in aquaculture

the last session consists of the presentation and discussion of students' work.
