| The course is based on consultancy sessions organised in order to answer to statistics questions that PhD students or researchers of the Faculty of Sciences have. | ||||||||

Learning outcomes of the learning unit :

| After the course, the student should be able to
- translate in statistical terms concrete problems encountered by practitioners; - find adequate solutions to solve those problems; - explain, in a comprehensive way to non-specialists, the results of the statistical analyses that were performed; - to write a short summary of the statistical techniques in order to include it in a scientific paper. |

| The courses of statistics organised during the odd years are co-requisite. | ||||||||

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| Only one ex-cathedra session is organised in order to specify the main rules. After that, the planning will be decided depending on the consultancy queries. | ||||||||

| The course is organised only on odd years (2017-2018 is the next session).
In order to register for this cours, a student must either be registered in the statistics orientation of the mathematics master or have chosen the two other courses of statistics proposed in the master program. The course is adequate only for students who have decided to specialize in statistics. |
