| Some of the principal mecanisms of social control will be examined in various fields, sucha as drugs use, risks prevention, mental health disease (via the Belgian model of social defense) and sentence enforcement (via prison and probation examples) . | |||||||||||

| The very first aim is to put in evidence the intimate connections which bound together such notions as "social control" and "social regulation", "caracteristics of social exchange" and "social order", devices, norms, values, measurement and behaviours. | |||||||||||
