Learning unit contents :
Detailed analyse of case studies from Palaeozoic carbonates. Each example is studied on the field and by thin section analyses.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
To be able to integrate field studies, sedimentary petrography and sequence stratigraphy for analyzing a carbonate system.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Sedimentary petrology, basin analyse.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Lectures, fieldtrips and petrography (thin sections analyses). Research report.
