| In this course, we will review the basics of probability theory and statistical inference, using a mathematical background that will be as accessible as possible.
This course is a prerequisite for the courses of multivariate statistics, linear models and time series analysis for students who would not have had courses on these topics before. |

| At the end of this lecture series, the students should know the mathematical prequisites to follow advanced courses of statistics. The should also be able to solve a few problems in statistics or probability. | |||||

| After explaining each concept, we will illustrate by examples and exercises will be assigned to the students. | |||||

| Face-to-face. A schedule will be established in due time.
The best would be to have the lectures before the other lectures in statistics. |
