| The course will stem in Michel Foucault's reflections on anthropology in order to determine how 20th-century philosophy has tried to solve or refused to solve (as M. Heidegger) the question "what is man?" The idea of a philosophical anthropology takes various forms after Kant, either grounded on the phenomenological tradition (L. Binswanger), or leading a dialogue with biological and behavioral sciences (P. Sloterdijk). In any case, philosophical anthropology seeks for a synthesis of empirical and transcendantal points of view. | ||||||||
