Learning unit contents :
The pharmaceutical practice, in an open pharmacy, in a hospital or in the pharmaceutical industry, involves manifold disciplines, focussed on the drugs and also on the patients.

After a quick survey of the history of the pharmacy, the course will give the students an overview of the pharmaceutical sciences, and make them aware of the diversity of their future trade, following the "life" of a licensed drug, from the discovery of its active component to its use in the everyday therapy.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
To give the students an overview of the diversity of the knowledge to be gained for the practice of pharmacy.
