Learning unit contents :
Based on analysed examples, the theoretical part of the course will put forward the basic principles of textual analysis, which will be made use of in the practical part of the sessions. This part is devoted to the analysis of texts from different genres and language-states. The basic metrical notions will also be dealt with.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Two papers. Written and oral examination.
The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 25% of the June final mark if > or = 10/20 (the mark will have no effect on the final grade if it doesn't reach 10/20). Please note that the final exam for this course is cumulative.
