| This course, which is aimed to introduce students to dialectal variation, is divided in two main parts:
- lectures explaining main concepts (dialectology and its object); introduction to Belgoroman dialects (Walloon, Picardy dialect, Lorraine and Champagne dialects); presentation of the dialectology methodology (transcription, linguistic survey and data analyses);
- personal work done by each student: he/she will have to introduce one of the "spots" of the survey and show what is interresting about it.
This personal work is subject to final evaluation. |
