Discussion of the work of Paul van Ostaijen, one of the most influential voices in 20th-century Dutch literature.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
Extending the knowledge of the political, historical and cultural context of modern Dutch literature. Developing their analytical and reflective skills. Refining their command of Dutch.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
A good command of written and spoken Dutch.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Introduction to Van Ostaijen's life and work. Analysis of a number of key texts, followed by public discussions.

Duration and period: 30h of theory in the 1st semester.
