| The purpose of the course is to allow students who did not study Greek in secondary school (or who did so only very briefly) to be introduced to the Greek language. Systematic study of noun and verb morphology and elementary concepts of syntax. | ||

| To reach as complete a mastery as possible of the morphology and syntax of Greek, in order to read Greek texts as quickly as possible. | ||

Assessment methods and criteria :

| Regular tests on vocabulary, nominal and verbal morphology and syntax.
Written and oral examination: vocabulary, verbal forms, grammatical sentences, translations.
The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 20% of the June final mark if > or = 10/20 (the mark will have no effect on the final grade if it doesn't reach 10/20). Please note that the final exam for this course is cumulative. |
