1. Properties of fluides 2. Fluid statics 3. Kinematics of fluid flow 4. Flow of an ideal fluid 5. Flow of a real fluid 6. Laminar and turbulent flow 7. Fluid flow in pipes 8. Dimensional analysis and hydraulic similarity
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
Teaching the fondamental concepts of fluid mechanics and their emprirical complements used in engineering applications on fluids.
After completing the course the student is expected to 1. Understand what determines the behavior of a fluid to rest or in movement. 2. Identify and to calculate the solicitations exercised by a fluid on its environment. 3. Calculate the debit provided by a determined installation.
