Learning unit contents :
Overview of artistic productions of the 15th and 16th centuries in Western Europe: important examples, chronological relationships, contextualization. Introduction to the analysis of monuments and works, and to their interpretation from a historical perspective.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
Basic knowledge of the milestones in Western European Art of  the 15th and 16th centuries. Introduction to the analytical and interpretative methods of Art History. Learning of specific terminology.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
None, other than carrying out general studies in art history and archaeology.
