| The aim of the course is to provide historical, stylistic data and all viewpoints (philosophical, sociological, political, economic, scientific, literary ...) useful for understanding the forms of plastic art (architecture , painting, sculpture, and, to the extent possible, graphic arts known as "applied" ) who followed or opposed one another from 1900 to the present time. | ||

| A PowerPoint file, including the outline of the course and the works analyzed is given to students.
Attention, the PowerPoint being updates each year, it isn't given at students at the beginning of the course, but over the first semester. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| The examination takes place in January
Form (oral or written): - Oral evaluation for ALL students in art history, archeology and musicology (HAAM) - Depending on the number of enrolled students, students from other sections are examined orally or in writing. Information is communicated to them in November.
- Two works to identify and comment (50% of score); Students enrolled in HAAM will comment and try to identify a work not seen during the course.
- Among the questions : identify two works (author, title, date, current) Sample questions will be provided to students during the course. Criteria The student must assimilate accurately the material (dates, names of artists, titles of works, names of artistic trends) and be able to make connections between different parts of the course. He/she must also master the aesthetic concepts and the strictly historical data being seen. |
