Learning unit contents :
This teaching unit aims at bringing integrated knowledges (between medical and veterinary fields) on a selection of animal diseases with a significant impact on human health. This is not a comprehensive approach; indeed a few diseases with an important impact and/or which are neglected will be illustrated. Several examples will be selected dialing with different groups of pathogens (viruses, bacteria and parasites).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
The students with different educational backgrounds (medicine, vétérinary medicine, agronomy) will have the opportunity to widen their vision and integrate a "One Health" approach based on a few relevant examples.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
General principles in biology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology. Aptitude for the collection of relevant scientific information and the reading of scientific English.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Each student of the Master will have to make a Power Point presentation type of 15 to 20 minutes and addressing aspects "One Health" on a disease present in her/his country of origin. Emphasis will be placed on the ability to collect specific data, analyzing them and return them synthetically in front of an appropriate jury.
