Being able to follow a logical path to decide whether or not to use wood preservation
Knowing the regulation and procedures related to wood preservation in force in Belgium and Europe
Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of treated wood exposed to biological physical and chemical degrading agents
Knowing families and formulations of wood preservatives products
Knowing the processes and treatments techniques
Knowing the alternative treatments without biocide
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Basic knowledge of wood science, anatomy, rules of implementation, timber service behavior
