| The course is designed to introduce the features of the main sport categories while detailing the most popular sports.
- The features of athletic sports. - The features of aquatic sports. - The special team sports. - The special gymnastic sports. - The peculiarities of cycling sports. - The peculiarities of fighting sports The objective will be to determine the physiological characteristics and mconstitutionelles related to each sport, but also to discuss the conduct of the competitions. These basic elements are essential in order to build a rational planning in a given discipline. Students will choose the beginning of a non-developed sport in and must present in small groups (two or three students) the key descriptive elements of a maximum of 5 minutes. Practical sessions déveloperont field some components indospensables training in physical preparation for most sports like cladding, proprioception, or the intermittent training. |

Learning outcomes of the learning unit :

| The objective of this course is to discover the peculiarities of the major categories of sports, but also to be able to identify these characteristics in a relevant literature search.
The focus will be on: - The population concerned. - The characteristics of the sport. - The organization and the special competitions and calendars. |

| Upstream: Basics of athletic training (3 BSM) and Déterminants of athletic performance (2 BSM). | |||||||||||

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| The presentation of different sports will be so traditional in class teaching.
The reflexive approach will be driven by the realized working group on a sport of their choice. Formative evaluation will be conducted during the presentation of the work or the teacher will assess firstly the content, and give the other expert advice to improve the reflexive approach to be established to know a sport. Some workshops will be set up to discover sspécifique practice of physical préparartyion used in many sports. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| The theoretical examn countain a series of open questions on theoretical lessons.
The practical assessment is done on various criteria: class attendance, motivation and quality of work, testing on functional training. The presentation of a specific sport will have an important part in the practical evaluation. ess than 8/20 in either party rating implies a final score of less than 8/20. |
