Learning unit contents :
The private comparative law lectures will change subject from year to year. Il will study a legal institution in several legal systems, usually starting with the roman law. It may as well be that the subject is of pure roman law. For 2014-2015, the subject will be: "The legal condition of women in Rome and today".
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
This course aims to study a legal topic in Roman Law and to compare with the modern situation.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Lectures will take place during the second semester.Students must be present at the lectures. The students will be asked to prepare a personal presentation on the main topic.
Recommended or required readings :
The use of a handbook will depend on the chosen subject every year.
Assessment methods and criteria :
The procedure of the oral exam will be explained during the lectures.
