| The course "Introduction to Dental Biomaterials" is given at 80% by Prof. A. MAINJOT and at 20% by Prof. F. Lambert
Partim A. MAINJOT The course introduces the discipline of Dental Biomaterials, including the general and basic concepts, which are discussed in relation to clinical practice. It is divided into 4 parts:
Biocompatibility
| The aim of the course "biocompatibility and performance" is to become familiar with the biological characteristics of dental biomaterial and with the concept of osseoinegration and performance.
The following topics will be covered during this course :

The learning method is based on the principle of flipped classroom. Some notions must be assimilated before the lesson, via videos available on the e-learning platform. In these videos the teacher explains part of the content of the whole course on the basis of a visual support. An online exam related to these videos has to performed before the lesson. During the lesson students interact with the teacher via polls, which test their practical knowledge. The course includes a large amount of practical illustrations and videos. After each session a knowledge test is available online. It prepares the student for the exam. Support of the course (slides), book references, or links to internet ressources are given on the platform. |
Biocompatibility
| Support documentation (scientific papers or Power Point) will be provided to students. | |||||
